kahlua chocolate cookies

the changes I’ve made to the [halved] recipe:
I used light spelt instead of white, sugar in the raw, and didn’t add chopped almonds, in case the husband wants to try one. I also added only 1/4 cup chocolate chips for half the recipe, even though the original calls for 3/4 cup of that AND 3/4 cup of them chopped almonds.
I followed the instructions of using an oiled baking sheet and baked them for 12 minutes…then proceeded to drop a bunch of tupperware covers on them while trying to grab a cooling rack. UGH! luckily, only one cookie got harmed in the process.
one thing though: it’s said the dough will be sticky, mine wasn’t. I had to put my hands in, though, the wooden spoon wasn’t doing the job of mixing it all well enough. not a problem at all, considering my hands were clean. ha!
those cookies don’t spread out much so just press them a touch when placing them on the baking sheet, and don’t worry about them being kinda close. I think I got 9 cookies out of half the recipe, when the original is supposed to yield 45. yikes! I really have a knack for making bigger than normal cookies, don’t I?
other than that? omg best cookies ever! ;)

Foodeater: trust me, with that sweet tooth I have on me, I wouldn’t mind eating a whole plate of these babies instead of a more normal meal. it’s baaaaaaaaaad.
Emily: if I could, they’d already be in a plate next to you! :D
La Principessa: I definitely recommend it, it’s full of amazingly tasty [and often healthy] recipes. I love it.
