stack o' crazy flavors

Lemon Currant Corn Waffle:

makes 1 belgian waffle, or 2 smaller ones

1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1/4 cup cornmeal
1/2 cup + 2 T soy creamer [whatever milk you have works]
1/2 T safflower oil [any mild flavored oil will do]
1 t agave nectar
1/4 t lemon extract
pinch salt
1/4 t baking powder
1 T dried black currants

whisk everything in a medium bowl. bake in your waffle maker following the manufacturer’s instructions. simple as that!

not pictured here, but here’s the recipe for the one I made yesterday: it was absolutely delicious!

Carob Chip Waffle:

1/2 cup ground oats
1/4 cup garbanzo flour
1/2 cup + 2 T soy creamer
1/2 T safflower oil
1 t agave nectar
1/2 t vanilla extract
pinch salt
1/4 t baking powder
1 T carob chips

  11. they are delicious, sweet even though not using sugar or a lot of sugar “replacer”, but not fluffy and light like usual waffles are. but that’s the way I like my waffles, I just thought it’d be good to warn those who prefer traditional waffles not to expect, well, just that. I make no sense, my apologies. ;p

  12. hey celine…I am thinking of making the carob chip version with some vegan chocolate chips I have tomorrow. I have this mix pf flours:
