My Sweet Vegan
December 9, 2007 at 6:19 am | In blahblah |oh my. do you remember how excited you got when vegan cupcakes took over the world? when thinking of the Possibilities, with a capital “p”?
well, translate that into every kind of baked good there is, and you’ll feel how it is to hold Hannah’s amazing new book in your little [& all floured up] hands.
I don’t think I have been this excited about a vegan dessert cookbook in a long, long time. all the recipes are so creative (think: Wasabi Chocolate Cupcakes, Sesame Chews, Green Tea Tiramisu, Crumb-Topped Brownies…), tempting, and every single one of them is backed up with Hannah’s incredible photos: it is a heartache to not have the excuse of owning a bakery [or an armada of voracious friends] in order to make every. single. thing. at once.
did I mention there is even a food allergy index for those of us who have to be a bit more careful? it’s this attention to major and minor details that makes Hannah’s book an absolute must-have on any baking fanatic’s kitchen counter.

update: omg, the crumb-topped brownies. if you needed only one reason to buy this book, this would be it. deliciously, intensely fudgy. I’ve never had better!

Aw, thank you -so- much Celine! I’ve been really anxious to hear what everyone thinks of it, so I feel like perhaps I can stop holding my breath at last. Just hearing that you’re excited about the recipes makes me so happy, and I can’t wait to see what you try out first. :)

I really want this book! I’m asking for it for Christmas, so we’ll see if I get it. the peanut plus cookies above looks delicious as well.

This book sound great! I’m ashamed to say that I hadn’t heard of it before reading your post (& I’m notoriously cookbook obsessed!).
So, thanks for the great suggestion! I can’t wait to add this book to my list.

I am totally envious! Amazon Germany and all the other sellers of international books see to have never heard of hannah and My Sweet Vegan:( I hope they will realize their fault soon.

Great site! Have you tried Divvies vegan cupcakes yet? If not, do…soon! So delicious and they are shipped in gorgeous packaging which makes for excellent giftgiving. For our niece the extra bonus is that they are totally nut and dairy-free so she can enjoy the same treats as everyone else even though she has food allergies. Sorry to include this on this section of the blog — wasn’t sure where it would best fit. By the way, the website for Divvies is http://www.divvies.com.
