Nom Nom Nom ad vitam aeternam

the ultimate cookie, of course

the best cookies of all, made so many times it’s impossible to count: gigantoid PB cookies from VWAV. the husband’s favorites too.

VItality "Soup"

vitality stew from Vegan Vittles. it has chickpeas and whole wheat orzo in it. normally a soup, but I just realized it’s not that I don’t like soups, it’s just that I don’t like too much liquid in them. so there you have it.

not pictured here, but I made Joni’s PB brownies again by using light spelt flour, sugar in the raw, and vanilla soy yogurt for the egg. let me tell you they were the fudgiest [compared to last time when they came out a bit cakier but still irresistible], most insane brownies and I didn’t get a chance to take a picture of them because not only has the weather been insanely dark here, but mostly because I was too busy chomping on them as they came out of the freezer. yup, directly from the freezer. so freaking delicious I have to keep myself from making more right about now.

I’m planning on grabbing my copy of V-con with me during the trip so that I can try new things and feed my family. not that my family isn’t fed when V-con isn’t around, but I think they’re really really going to enjoy it.
besides, I’m starting to get stuck making my new favorites from it [chickpea cutlets and pumpkin ziti] and would love to expand my V-con horizon. and it rhymes. leaving you on that note for now!

  7. Oh, and for another great dessert, the Tea Poached Pears in Chocolate Sauce from Vcon are amazing. I’m making them for a skeptic in a couple days.
