FAQ
I hate talking about myself, but the following questions were asked so commonly that I figured it was time to make an FAQ page already.
if you have a question, comment, or complaint, feel free to send me an e-mail.
you eat a lot, omg!
I don’t eat all the stuff I prepare. I have a husband, a freezer, and neighbors to share with.
I’m a bike fanatic and don’t own a car, so there’s a good excuse to indulge every now and then. more now than then.
I don’t worry too much about calories, so you won’t see nutritional info along with my recipes. you can always calculate it by googling one of the many calorie-counters the world wide web offers.
what camera do you use?
when I first started food blogging, I was using an Olympus Stylus.
since then, I’ve switched to a Canon Rebel XTi. the lenses I use the most for food-related pictures are the cheap, but oh-so-great 50mm f/1.8, 50mm f/1.4 as of June 08, as well as the 60mm f/2.8 Macro.
where are you from? you type with an accent.
I was born in Switzerland and lived there for 25 years.
you’re one of them vegans, right? since when? and why?
I went vegetarian over 15 years ago, and then vegan in January of 2005.
I’ve always disliked meat and cannot handle any harm being done to animals of any kind, so it just felt natural to finally make the decision to quit consuming all animal products.
while we’re on that subject: please don’t ask me if such-and-such recipe will work when using eggs or other animal products, because I clearly wouldn’t know.
can I read you from livejournal directly?
