I’m Celine Steen, a vegan bicycle fiend who currently lives in California with a tall stranger and two senior cats. I was born in the French-speaking area of Switzerland, and took my first trip to the States in 1999. Then I stuck around.
Here are a few things you didn’t want to know about me but you’re bored anyway so might as well read this while the coffee’s brewing. Yawn.
I went vegan in 2005, solely for ethical reasons. It happens to be one of the (very few) best decisions I’ve ever made.
While those books are available for purchase from the usual suspects, you can also find them at all-vegan stores like Herbivore.
• Hearty Vegan Meals for Monster Appetites (find it on amazon, IndieBound, or B&N), see errata here.
This book has been reprinted under a new name and with a new cover, but the contents are exactly the same. Heads-up in case you already have it!
• The Great Vegan Protein Cookbook (planned for Autumn 2014)
I use a Nikon D700, a 60mm f/2.8G (and occasionally a 50mm f/1.4D) lens, and natural light. I adjust exposure, color balance, and other stuff with Photoshop CS5, and sometimes Lightroom 5.

Reviews and Ads
Any post written about a vegan product that is sent to me free of charge by a company in exchange for an honest review will always clearly states so. I do not accept monetary compensation for writing reviews.
On a slightly related note, I do not use affiliated links.
There have never been, nor will there ever be banner ads on this site. Same goes for guest posts.
